When No One is Watching...

"You'll get mixed up, of course, as you already know. You'll get mixed up with strange birds as you go. So be sure when you step. Step with care and great tact and remember that Life's a Great Balancing Act. Just never forget to be dextrous and deft. And never mix up your right foot with your left.
And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! 98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed!"- Dr. Seuss "Oh, the Places You'll Go"

Isn't funny how the greatest things happen when no one is watching? I used to think that the point of doing service was to get a reward or acclaim from people. I've now found such joy in doing things just for the sake of doing it. Like this blog for example.

My hope for this week is to reach out to more people that are struggling. I have found that inviting that person to church, or making sure that someone smiles can be the most rewarding act. It's all part of reaching true happiness, conquering the natural man.

Christ never healed the sick, made the blind man see, or died for us to receive recognition. He did it all in the name of our Heavenly Father, and because He loved us. I feel that we are looking too much for the prize, rather than the greater reward...knowing that we are being Christlike.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful week and reaches out to the neighbor that is lonely, or the friend that is having a hard time. It's hard at times, but it is ultimately worth it!
